How Lace Notes got started:
I've been collecting jewelry for many years and I love having special pieces to adorn my feet and ankles.
Because of the limited selection available, I started making my own.
My design background was actually in architectural work but after designing everything from a special garden gate to a complex Japanese garden to doll houses and miniatures, I find I truly enjoy working with tiny parts and pieces of wire and stone that develop into wearable art.
I use high quality wire of pure copper, brass, sterling silver, and gold along with glass beads, shells, and both polished and natural stones to create these special pieces.
I am always delighted to hear from folks that are looking for jewelry with ideas floating in the mind's eye, and yet unable to find the realized version of that imagined item.

The Art:
My jewelry art is often a collection of many materials and textures combined to convey a special feeling, emotion, or image.
Some are soft and sensual, some are full of light and whimsey, all are made to enhance the mood of the person wearing the piece.
Leather, clay, glass, metal mesh to become one of a kind pieces that truly are "wearable art." |
